This summer LEA is offering a fun, hands on program for kids. The program will take place in two special locations, the Maine Lake Science Center and the Holt Pond Preserve. LEA’s Eco-Explorers will spend Monday and Tuesday at the new MLSC, exploring Pondicherry Park and the new Pinehaven Trail. Thursday and Friday will be spent at the beautiful Holt Pond Preserve. The preserve encompasses 600 acres with extensive trails and several different ecosystems to explore. Participants will enjoy many activities including dragonfly hunting, hiking, scavenger hunt, indoor crafts, plant and animal identification, journaling and many more. Children will leave camp excited to explore their own backyards.

Two sessions are available:

  • Week of July 23rd – Monday & Tuesday at MLSC and Thursday & Friday at Holt Pond
  • Week of August 6th – Monday & Tuesday at MLSC and Thursday & Friday at Holt Pond

All days begin at 8:30am and end at 3:00pm. Prompt drop-off and pick-up are expected.

Cost is $150 for LEA members and $175 for non-members. Scholarships and payment plans may be available.
