It’s the Supermoon blue-blood lunar eclipse astronomy extravaganza! The 31st is January’s second full moon (the blue moon); the moon will be its closest in its path around the earth (Supermoon), and there is a lunar eclipse which the east coast will see partially during moonset. Clearly, it’s time for a snowshoe to pay homage to the winter gods! Join LEA at the Maine Lake Science Center to access the Center’s Pinehaven Trail and Pondicherry Park. We will make our way to the field to bask in the glory of the Supermoon and then back again to warm up in the Center with a treat and hot cocoa. All ages are welcome.
